Evolve was instructed by Richborough to assist with the promotion of land to the north of Orton Road and Church Road in Warton. In light of a five year housing land supply shortfall, a speculative outline application was submitted for up to 110 homes and associated infrastructure.
The application was refused by North Warwickshire Borough Council on landscape, design and agricultural land grounds. However, following a public inquiry the Inspector found in favour of the scheme. The Inspector concluded that the adverse impacts of the proposal would not significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits when assessed against the policies in the NPPF taken as a whole and planning permission was granted.
